NFL Teams Super Bowl 46 Hopes - Part 2

Super Bowl 46 Hopefuls (Little Hope)
Still pretty hopeless, but they’re showing me something for this years Superbowl XLVI

Cleveland Browns: They’re young, they’re lower on the talent spectrum, yet they have won two games. It seems like Holgrem and the new system is working out there well. Also, McCoy is much better than expected in the pro’s. They’re a couple of years away; however, the system change is working and they are winning at least some games already.

Kansas City: This is probably the hardest team in the league to comment on. Shocked me with a ten win season last year. However, they were easily the worst team in the league for three weeks; horrible, something like 89-10 after the first two weeks. Then they won two games in arrow. Now it helps that Minnesota and Indianapolis where there opponents. So are they a fluky, ten win team or are they the worst team in the league by far? I think they are about a five win team that is incredibly streaky.

Seattle Seahawks: They are pretty similar to the Cardinals and the Rams really. However, they have plugged a lot more holes than the other two teams and in my opinion are ahead in the rebuilding process. They need a quarterback badly and hopefully the offensive line will gell. It’s been so bad since Hutchinson left that I just hope the young guys work out.

Chicago Bears: They’re old. The defense is still above average, but its not elite anymore. The offense line has seen a similar decline as well. They held on a little too long with that core. They are still good enough to compete for a playoff spot. However, they need to realize (and soon) that it is time to rebuild properly and start to tear down the old core.

Philadelphia Eagles: I learned two things this offseason from this team: how important every level is on both sides of the ball. Their linebackers and offensive line are terrible, and good luck improving that. They are great at a ton of positions on the field; however, they have also have some of the worst starters in the NFL on both sides of the ball. Second thing I learned: it’s time for Andy Reid to go. An offensive friend as your D coordinator? He’s been so bad as D coordinator Asomugha looks bad!

Tennessee Titans: I think the new coach here has reestablished the personality of a tough physical team. I think Matt Hasselbeck is playing as well as we will ever see him play again. If he stays healthy, he can probably keep it at this level for a couple of more years. However, can he stay healthy? They are doing some nice things; I just think they peaked already and they will end up with 6-7 wins.

Cincinnati Bengals: they really have done a good job putting this defense together, and it is moving towards elite. Not quite there yet, but in a year or two. Now they need playmakers on offense. Lots of them. Don’t know if they have anyone that is above average. However, if they are able to put it together quickly and keep improving, they’ll be hanging around for more than one year this time.

Washington Redskins: they have been very impressive for four weeks, but I’m just not buying it. I think they have been lucky and over performing by a lot. I think the best case scenario for this team is losing in the first playoff game. Their defense is getting better. I just don’t see how Tim Hightower, Rex Grossman, and Santana Moss can lead an offense to anything other than mediocrity.

These are the teams that have a long way to go, but not quite hopeless for Super Bowl 46!
