Super Bowl 46: Giants vs Patriots Predictions in Superbowl 2012
NY Giants Take On NE Patriots - A Fight to the Finish!
Super Bowl Showdown: How they got here
Patriots: 13-3 regular season record
Offense: not quite record setting, but obviously explosive. Its unusual for 2 of the top 3 receivers on a team to be tight ends, but they have everything else you expect from a dominant offense. Amazing quarterback and receivers, above average offensive line, and a solid enough running game to keep you honest.
Defense: ranking is terrible in yardage given up. When playing the Broncos, you have to wonder if the Broncos can keep up in a shootout. Do I need to keep going? They are healthy finally, and Brandon Spikes and Patrick Chung are playing well. Belichick is a genius, so maybe they can play well enough to get to the promised land.
Playoffs: Had the #1 seed and the bye. Had the good fortune of Denver upsetting Pittsburgh and therefore an easy win in the divisional round. Have yet to be tested, have seen the other two offenses capable of keeping up with them knocked out. Statistically, they were outplayed by the Ravens, but it was close and they won, so who cares?
Giants: 9-7 regular season record
Offense: solid on offense, but probably short of their potential. They are starting to play better, especially Nicks and Jacobs. They are still suspect on the offensive line, struggle with run blocking, and force Eli to throw before he is ready. When they are clicking, they are clicking. However, they are also too often in funks and go three and out.
Defense: Their front four is obviously playing terrific. However, it is too often that their front four are masking the obvious deficiencies of their back end. When they get to the quarterback, they are suffocating. When they don’t, there are holes available for the quarterback to throw into and score points.
Playoffs: Played the Falcons in the first round, and it was not a difficult game. They dominated the game up front and the Falcons got nowhere on offense. They went to Lambeau and outplayed Green Bay. They went to San Francisco and outplayed the 49ers. They created turnovers, got pressure, and moved the ball on offense. They have peaked at the right time.
How it will go:
AFC: Patriots vs NFC: Giants
Pass defense: Edge, Giants
Run defense: Edge, Giants
Pressure: Edge, Giants
Special teams: Even
Pass offense: Slight edge, Patriots
Rush offense: Slight edge, Giants
Protection: Edge, Patriots
Quarterback: Clear edge, Patriots
Coaching: Edge, Patriots
If the Giants win…they win the turnover battle and get points from someone other than their offense. They also will need to control time of possession and limit the amount of times Brady has the ball. If it becomes Eli vs. Brady, they probably lose. Any other controlling elements in this game and the Giants should win.
If the Patriots win…The game turns into a battle of the offenses and the Patriots are given the chance to win with their superior offense. They need to control the tempo of the game and not have it turn into a physical battle. They should be able to find holes in the back end of the Giants defense if they can stop the front line of it.
Surprise level at an upset? Minor. The Giants have the superior defense, and the Patriots have the superior offense. The Patriots offense is the best of the four units, so they should win, but it’s a close match. Also, the Giants are on fire right now as they dominated the 49ers statistically, if not on the scoreboard.
Prediction: Giants will win 31-24, having created enough pressure to stop the Patriots on several key drives.

Watch Superbowl 2012 Online
Do you need a way to watch the superbowl online this year? Unfortunately there are quite a lot of extremely busy people who won't be able to have access to TV this coming February 5, 2012. And that is really a bummer since it will be SUPERBOWL SUNDAY! I know because I have been there. Stuck working on the BIGGEST sports day of the year. That's why I'm writing this to let you know that you really can watch the Super Bowl live on your computer.
Watch Super Bowl 46 Online - Click Here
We're down to the final four teams and I know everyone has their favorites. The Ravens are the best, by the way! No matter who gets paired up in the big game it's bound to be quite a show that no football fan should miss. Watching Super Bowl 46 online is quite simple. Click here to watch the superbowl online.
I found out the hard way since you can find all kinds of sites telling you how you can watch the superbowl through one website or another, but most of them are not dependable or even work at all. When I found the Satellite for PC site it looked promising so I tried it. Boy, was it amazing! It was like TV with over 2,000 channels and I even forgot that I was watching it on my pc. Now I can watch sports or whatever I want when my wife is watching her shows on tv, and it is great. And all for a one-time fee, no month-to-month.
Since the software uses the web to stream television channels, there are a huge variety of sports and channels from all over the world. No expensive cable or satellite tv needed! Now I've gotten to watch a lot of football already this year live in my den from my laptop. No more conflicts over tv watching on football night!

AFC Championship 2012 Game Prediction: Ravens vs Patriots
AFC Championship 2012 Predictions
Patriots: 13-3 regular season record
Offense: not quite record setting, but obviously explosive. Its unusual for 2 of the top 3 receivers on a team to be tight ends, but they have everything else you expect from a dominant offense. Amazing quarterback and receivers, above average offensive line, and a solid enough running game to keep you honest.

Ravens: 12-4 regular season record
Offense: solid on offense, but probably short of their potential. Flacco is still inconsistent at quarterback. They have yet to provide him with top tier receiving threats and their pass catchers seem to always battle injury. Ray Rice is fantastic, but their entire running game tends to be mediocre several games a year. They also tend to go away from Rice unless they have a lead. It’s never a good plan to go away from your best playmaker on offense.
Defense: phenomenal on defense, usually. They have an incredible defensive line, the best in football with Ngata and Suggs, along with the young guys contributing. They have the best safety in history still playing at a high level. Ray Lewis still hits hard and is the spiritual leader. More vulnerable than in the past because they have inconsistent cornerback play.
Playoffs: Enjoyed a first round bye, and then a game against Houston and their third string quarterback in round two. I missed most of this game because of church. However, I saw the last 8 or so minutes and saw a typical end to a Ravens’ game. It was close until the end, and Houston had the ball and was driving when the game got to the 2 minute warning. Ray Lewis stuffed a running play for a loss, and then Ed Reed intercepted a throw that would have put Houston inside the 5 yard line.
How it will go:
#1 Patriots vs. #2 Ravens
Pass defense: Edge, Ravens
Run defense: Edge, Ravens
Patriots: 13-3 regular season record
Pressure: Edge, Ravens
Special teams: Edge, Patriots
Pass offense: Edge, Patriots
Rush offense: Edge, Ravens
Protection: Clear edge, Patriots
Quarterback: Clear edge, Patriots
Coaching: Slight edge, Patriots
If the Ravens win…they win the turnover battle and get points from someone other than their offense. They also will need to control time of possession and limit the amount of times Brady has the ball.
If the Patriots win…The game turns into a battle of the offenses and the Patriots are given the chance to win with their superior offense. They need to control the tempo of the game and not have it turn into a physical battle.
Surprise level at an upset? Minor. The Ravens are the more complete team and if they control the flow and style of the game, they will win. However, the Patriots are playing so well offensively right now the Ravens may not keep up.
Prediction: Ravens win a physical, hard fought game 23 to 17.

NFC Championship 2012 Game Predictions: Giants vs 49ers
NFC Championship Game Coming on Sunday, January 22nd
Where to Watch NFC Game Online - Click Here!
49ers: 13-3 regular season record
Offense: They have been the prototypical caretaker offense which scores enough to win games. They control the ball with their physical run game and throw enough to keep defenses honest. They have sprinkled in enough big passing plays to show off Alex Smith’s arm and threaten teams downfield.
Defense: Despite the knee-jerk tendency to say the Ravens, Steelers, or Texans are better on defense, the 49ers have been the best all year. Their front seven is unrivaled in the entire league, and their back end is good enough to not be picked on. They don’t make mistakes and they force turnovers.
Playoffs: Had the #2 seed and the bye. They got the red hot Saints at home in the divisional round and created four turnovers. They also put up 36 points, which I definitely did not see coming. In the fourth quarter, they went score for score with the Saints and looked good doing it.
#5 Giants vs. #2 49ers
How it will go:
Pass defense: Edge, 49ers
Run defense: Edge, 49ers
Pressure: Slight edge, 49ers
Special teams: Edge, 49ers
Pass offense: Edge, Giants
Rush offense: Slight edge, 49ers
Protection: Edge, 49ers
Quarterback: Clear edge, Giants
Coaching: Even
If the Giants win…they will have kept enough pressure on Alex Smith that the 49ers will not have put together much of an offense. They will have won the game through the air.
If the 49ers win…they will have done what they do to every other team—shut them down. They have given up an average of 15 points a game. Their defense is suffocating and their offense does enough.
Surprise level at an upset? A little surprise. These two teams are fairly evenly matched on paper. San Francisco is better on every level on defense, and their offensive line has been great all year. Their line will neutralize the Giants d-line, and the 49ers will shut down the Giants offense.
Prediction: I will predict a 49ers win but don’t be shocked with either outcome. The 49ers play mistake free football, but the Giants have the quarterback and the experience.

Superbowl Watch Online - Anywhere You Want!
Superbowl Watch Online - What Are Your Options?
If you are like me, you will do just about anything not to miss the upcoming Super Bowl 46 this February 5th!
Last year I ended up getting Satellite Direct on my PC because we had scheduling conflicts at home. I mean, I don't know how my daughters 10th birthday slumber party got tv rights over me, but they did. And being the stand up family man that I am, I broke out my trusty laptop, hied myself to the den and watched the game in peace and quiet!
I've since found that I am not alone in using Satellite Direct for the PC to watch the superbowl. A couple of my buds from work use it to watch the big game and a lot of other sports shows too. I found out that the free online sites weren't too reliable and I wouldn't want to trust watching the MOST IMPORTANT EVENT of the year on something that can flake out on me right at an exciting part. Know what I mean?
Don't miss Super Bowl 46 if you can't watch it on tv this year - check this out for super results!!!

NFL Defensive Stats - Who Makes the Grade This Season?
NFL Defensive Stats
Best Defense NFL - These Are the Top Two Defensive NFL Teams
Now, these are my humble opinions - please leave a comment if you want to share your opinion!!
Houston Texans Defense: When in one off season the glaring weakness of your team becomes a strength, you should be recognized and awarded for your effort. They haven’t added many pieces, and yet they became one of the stiffest defenses in the league. It is especially impressive that they are stingy on giving up both yards and points to their opponents. That speaks to a complete defensive effort, and not just hard play and mixed fortunes working together.
San Francisco 49ers Defense: seriously, they have been great all year. The coaching staff, one year removed from a disappointing season, has the best scoring defense in the entire league put together. Justin Smith has gone from unknown to All-Pro, and every player seems to be better than they ever have been. I would imagine there will be a slight regression next year, but they have been so good they would still be elite.
Defense Rankings: Worst Defensive NFL Teams
NY Giants Defense: I was listening to Antonio Pierce on ESPN the other day, and he said he would fire the defensive coordinator of the Giants. At first, I thought this was crazy as the Giants tend to win the games their defense makes multiple big plays, and lose games where the defense doesn’t make those same plays. While this might be an accurate description of many of their games this season, it doesn’t really tell the story. There are only four teams that have given up more points than the Giants. The Giants have been outscored by their opponents this season by 23 points. They have had much of their success this year because of their offense and not their defense. This is disappointing as they are very talented on that side of the ball.
Minnesota Vikings Defense: When you have Jared Allen close to twenty sacks in a season, it is unacceptable that you are also close to the league’s worst in scoring defense. They give up over 28 points a game. That’s more than lack of talent, that’s lack of effort. This also speaks to poor personnel management as they have ignored the fact that they are getting old and washed up as quickly as they have.
Buffalo Bills Defense: I know they lost Kyle Williams early in the season, but one guy going down should not end your defense’s season. They can’t stop anyone! This is especially disappointing as this is the side of the ball that they have been ahead on for several years. Their offense has been putrid but at least their defense was putting up fights. Except now, the defense stopped fighting. Rally around the next man up and give your team a chance to win a game.
